I really don't see why the negative reviews have no actual content. I'm confident this will be a fun way to waste time for years to come as WS2 has been for years to pass.
Most bugs are eliminated by saving and reloading. I have managed to get a fully working shop using the paranoid save/load technique. And hey, a couple weeks ago it didn't run at all; now it runs on 2/4 PC's! Progress is progress. And I have been waiting for a long time for this. The developers actually listen to the players, as you can see from my suggestion from last year above, I asked for the PC back from the mobile game; guess what, it's already in the game!
It's early access, and has bugs.
If you want to support a small developer who has a passion for the niche, and will cater to the playerbase, grab a copy; I'm sure you've wasted $15 on more frivolous things before... ;)
Week 1: Lots of progress, daily bugfixes, QoL improvements. This solo Dev is putting in ALOT of work to keep things moving forward! This is still early access, and not a released game; yes it shows, but with so many bugs squashed and only a few left to tackle, we are looking forward to our first content expansions in the coming weeks!
Protip: Please do your research, and make sure you meet the spec to run WS3, or consider getting WS2 if early access is not for you, it is a more complete version with a much lower spec requirement. A game this early in development; lacking alot of optimizations, can be demanding on older hardware.
Chris is still going strong, and working with the playerbase to expand the content! Several of my own ideas have even been implemented into the game. And we had alot of fun working on the quest and balance revamp. Consistent updates; great content, he just keeps rolling out new features. The new twitch integration is an awesome PoC feature coming soon, we're still looking forward to tons of great new content! See you all in a couple months for another update!
STILL going strong, the new 4/20 update is MASSIVE! The open world is unlocked, loads of new content, and Chris never ceases to deliver great weed shop content! The game and menus are so fluid now! UI layering is SPOT on! Control mappings are up to par now too! Even the graphics are not only improved with effects, there has clearly been some heavy optimization done, and the lighting bake was good. I can now mine crypto and play WS3 on max setting simultaneously! It may not seem like much, but I'd rather only trade a few MH/s as opposed to shutting down the whole rig to play a game. I am still applying pressure to Nvidia to get this title supported on Geforce NOW, feel free to do the same! I'll be back with another review after a new game playthrough with all the new content and polish!
